The EReg Academy is a one-day session during which a specific subject is discussed in-depth with policy makers and / or academic professionals. It is designed for EReg members and therefore deals with topics specifically relevant for vehicle and driver registration authorities. An Academy session gives members the opportunity to engage in a discussion on the influence and impact of certain developments and to learn from each others experiences and (best) practices.
The first edition of the EReg Academy took place on May 15 2017 in Brussels and dealt with the requirements and impact of the General Data Protection Regulation. A video impression can be found below.
The next EReg Academy will take place on 13 September 2018 in Brussels. The subject will be "Connected and automated vehicles in practice". During this day more insight will be given on autonomous driving, ethical issues that come with these rapid technological developments and there will be uses cases on high way pilots, shuttles and truck platooning, which we will discuss in detail.
Further editions of the EReg Academy can be organised on a topic that is of your interest. If you have any suggestions on a particular topic, please contact the EReg Secretariat.
