The EReg General Meeting & Annual Conference took place on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 May 2018 in Berlin, Germany. Over 80 people from 29 different member states attended the Conference. The programme started with the welcome reception on Wednesday 2 May. The EReg General Meeting started on Thursday 3 May and in the afternoon and the next Morning the Annual Conference took place. The participants enjoyed a sightseeing in Berlin on Friday afternoon.
Topics Annual Conference
The Annual Conference started with different insights on toll and entry systems. A representative from the European Commission explained the current state of affairs on EETS (European Electronic Tolling Service) and colleagues from KBA and Norway gave presentations on the role of the KBA in German toll systems and congestion charge & environmental zones in Norway. In the afternoon, EReg members could showcase their best-practices in the best-practices carousel. The second part of the conference was marked by presentations on Cyber Security & Vehicle software. A representative from UN-ECE and the DVLA (United Kingdom) presented the state of affairs on cyber security and the impact on registration authorities. Other topics that were discussed were mobile driving licences, international data exchange and the GDPR, working in partnerships and electronic CoC Data Exchange.
